Beautiful and highly sought after PRE WAR Model 70 in all time favorite 30-06 caliber. Exceptional condition for an 83 year old rifle showing only minimal marks and wear. There is one non factory drill hole in the rear receiver bridge for a previously mounted scope. (Pre wars were factory drilled on the front ring, but not the rear bridge). S/N 24*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1940. 24" barrel with excellent bore. Excellent mechanical functions.
Fully inletted factory option Lyman 48 WJS receiver sight. Take advantage of the "$800 drill hole" and go out and enjoy it!
