Description: This Belgian manufactured Browning was manufactured sometime between 1931 and 1939. Wood remains solid showing only light use and appears to have had a coat of finish added. Wood has engraving added on both side of receiver and top of buttplate. Round knob has been cut with a brass coin inletted that reads "Grand American Handicap 1942". Begun in 1900, the winner of the '42 event was J.F. Holderman from Morris Il with a score of 193 at 20 yards. Original blue is very good showing blue loss on receiver and some light oxidation. Bores are excellent. No box. Nice old Browning with an interesting history!
