Description:
SOLD PENDING FUNDS-----U.S. Property Marked Colt 1908 Pocket Hammerless 380 acp with original box. Manufactured in 1944 and delivered to the Commanding Officer of the Springfield Armory to be used as a General Officers Pistol. It has the standard blade front and flat top notch rear sight, two line address on left side of slide with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations along with the small crossed canon stamp on the left side of the frame. "U.S. PROPERTY" marked on the right side of the frame, and standard caliber marking on right side of slide. Checkered medallion grips. Includes original craft style box numbered to pistol with the words General Service.
The condition of the pistol is excellent, retaining 99% of its original blue finish with a very small nick on top of the slide and a small patch of corrosion on left side serration probably due to storage in box. Grips are excellent with crisp checkering. Box is fine with slight corner and edge wear.
