This Spandau manufactured Model 71/84 rifle is in excellent condiition. The 11mm Mauser bore is excellent with bright, strong rifling. The blue is approx. 99% with minor storage wear. The stock is excellent with minor storage dents and dings. All the numbers (s/n 921) match. The left side of the receiver is marked I.G. Mod 71/84 (Infantry rifle Model 71/84). The right side is dated 1886. The top of the barrel knox form has a crown over SPANDAU on top, the left side has 921 followed by a crown over B(?) proof followed by a larger crown over F.W. (Fredrick Wilhelm) flollowed by a crown over B(?) proof followed by the caliber 10,95, and the right side has an additional four inspection stamps. The buttplate tang is unit marked G.J.R. over 50. This most likely stands for Degachment Garde-Jager-Regiment, rifle No. 50. The action functions correctly. This top notch Spandau Modle 71/84 rifle is ready for the finest collection.
