Description:
This Third Issue Colt Officers Model was manufactured on December 27, 1948 and shipped out a few days later according the included factory Archive Letter. These were Pre-War parts clean up guns with some changes. The left side of the barrel of these final pistols are the only ones marked “Officers Model Target” – an actual OMT. These barrels also have a very small, gradual tapering down from the joining with the frame, similar to the Heavy Barrel variant of the .38. The Duo-Tone finish that Colt was beginning to use are a non reflective blue along the top strap, trigger guard, rest of the outer frame edge, and cylinder flutes. These pistols were furnished with the marbled Colt Wood plastic grips. Complete your collection with this one.
