- Protech's BR-1 Magic Bolster Release automatic knife has a hidden secret that, once you've mastered, you'll want with you every day. Ingeniously designed by Mike "Whiskers" Allen, the BR-1 has a Textured bolster that acts as the actuator, lock and release. Simply apply pressure with your thumb to the right to open and close using the Magic Bolster. This version comes with a Rose Gold PVD coated, plain edge 154CM blade, solid black anodized aluminum handles and textured bolster
