A U.S. Civil War And Indian Wars Military Issued Colt Model 1860 Percussion Army Revolver In Nice Untouched Condition. Serial #110,791, all matching numbers. All original and complete, made in 1863. The revolver has nice metal and good markings. All edges are also nice. All of the metal on the revolver has a mix of blue thinning into a natural plum patina. The frame and lever show darkening case colors on them. All screws are nice on it. The brass trigger guard is fine and untouched with a clear "U.S. Military Inspectors Marking" on it. The wood grips on the gun are nice throughout showing some light wear. It has a fine bore and a very crisp action. This U.S. Military Colt Army Revolver was first issued in the civil war and then after it was turned in it was refurbished and reissued for the early Indian Wars. The "US" on the bottom of of the trigger guard was the Military Inspectors Mark used when it was issued the second time. Many of these reissued Colt Army Revolvers were mismatched as all leftover parts were used and guns were mixed. It is very difficult to find an all matching example as this one is. This Is A Very Nice looking And Untouched Example Of A U.S. Military Colt Army Revolver That Was Issued In Both The Civil War And The Early Indian Wars!
