The belt is an early experimental military "Fair Weather Christian" cartridge belt. The belt was built to carry govt. .45-70 carbine cartridges. (will also carry .45LC, .44-40WCF, .38-40 WCF, and others) The 1851 Officer's Saber Belt Plate Buckle was used to fasten many of the early prototypes. The belt is a fully adjustable, "one size fits all". The holster is marked "John MAKER Cody". Both belt and holster are Hell for stout, and would give a century of hard use. This outfit is as new, showing no wear. Will fit a large selection of frontier era revolvers with 7 1/2 to 8 inch barrels. To have this rig made would cost $300.00 plus a long wait.
