Description:
L.C. Smith Eagle Trap in 12 Gauge. On the left lock-plate, with a frosted background, is a ring-necked pheasant in bold relief. On the right is a duck in flight. The top and bottom of the frame are frosted and interlaced with scroll engraving. The term "frosted" referred to the results from a stippling process. This technique was used on no other grade of L.C. Smith shotgun. An eagle with spread wings was engraved on the top of the lever. The serial number was engraved in the trigger guard extension. The shotgun features automatic ejectors and Nitro Steel barrel 32-inch in length with 2 ivory beads on an elevated rib. The nicely figured, imported walnut stocks are beautiful. The barrel is roll-stamped L.C. SMITH EAGLE TRAP. Approximately 56 of the Eagle Trap shotguns were made. 12 Gauge
