A Rare And Early U.S. Military Civil War Sharps New Model 1859 Carbine Issued To The U.S. Navy In Fine Untouched Condition. Serial # 41,432, All matching numbers. All original and complete. The carbine has fine metal, markings, and edges. All of the metal on the gun has an even and natural darkening patina throughout it. The wood is also fine throughout with a nice grain and wonderful color to it. There is no saddle bar on this carbine which is correct for a U.S. Navy issued one. It has a U.S. Inspectors Cartouche on the backside opposite the lock. These inspectors marks are very scarce to find on Navy Carbines as they were used very hard during the civil war and are often worn off. The Navy carbine has a very good bore and tight, crisp action in it. This Rare U.S. Navy Issued Military Sharps 1859 Carbine Has A Wonderful Untouched Look To It And Is All Original & Complete From End To End!
