A U.S. Indian Wars Military Issued Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Carbine In Nice Untouched Condition. Serial #492,092. All original and complete. The carbine has nice metal and markings. All edges are also nice. All of the metal on the carbine has lots of original factory blue with areas fading into a natural plum patina. The wood on the gun is very nice throughout with very good edges. There is an "1887" Inspectors Cartouche on the backside of the wood opposite the lock. There are a couple of small scuff marks on it. It has a fine bore and a very tight and crisp action. This Is A Very Nice looking And Untouched Example Of A U.S. Military Issued Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Carbine!
