Original Colt 1872 "Richards-Mason" Open Top 44-40 Pistol. This Colt pistol displays an older re-finish. Overall finish is in very good condition, but does show some minor edge wear and handling marks. Most screws show very good "Fire Blue" finish. Barrel has very strong rifleing, however, there is pitting & frosting present. This pistol came from an estate in Connecticut. This pistol comes in an Original Colt presentation "Blue Box", but is NOT original to the gun. Also included with this pistol is an "Original" Sealed / unopened box of .44 Calibre (44-40) Ammunition.
