Brindle S&W Trademarked Grips with Nickel Finish
Here we present an antique Smith & Wesson .38 Single Action Second Model Revolver, manufactured circa 1877 with a production run between 1877 through 1891 in Springfield, Massachusetts. Smith & Wesson manufactured approximately 108,225 of these revolvers between during its 14-year production run. This would have been a great concealable firearm for the everyman in 1870s America. This being the 2nd Model version was an improvement over the 1st, also known as the “Baby Russian”.
The overall condition is fine. Original nickel finish. The action is excellent. The bore is in fine condition, bright with sharp rifling. The original hard rubber grips are in great shape.
