The Remington 700 Varmint is built on the cylindrical action of the Model 700 and hailed by the company as one of their most accurate factory-built rifles. This bolt-action rifle is a union of stainless steel and synthetic that delivers out-of-the-box precision along with weather resistance and long-range accuracy. The stainless steel 26 heavy-contour barrel is fluted for weight reduction rigidness and heat dissipation while the synthetic stock has overmolded panels for a positive grip and a SuperCell Recoil Pad for reduced felt recoil. The 700 Varmint which is available in several calibers also features swivel studs for a sling and bi-pod as well as an externally adjustable X-Mark Pro trigger.
