Description:
The shotgun's serial number is D367183. This gun is Trap Gun marked on bolt face. This is a early model 1897 that has the screw retained cartridge stops. The stock is the English style straight grip with the black diamonds on each side of the wrist. It has the correct curved original hard rubber buttplate. The "pull" is 12 3/4 inches. This was pretty much standard at that time. The barrel is 30 inches. It is marked full. This shotgun is very much the same as it was from the factory. The stock and forend have no cracks or damage. The take down feature is tight with no play. The bore is clean. The action is tight and works smoothly. The overall bluing is good for the age of the shotgun. The stock and forearm does have some dings and dents but is good for a gun of this age. The chamber size is not listed on the steel. 12 Gauge
