Description:
This Winchester Model 61 comes in a take-down version with a 24" round barrel, and a straight type, furniture grade maple stock. The fit and finish of the stock and barre/receiver bluing are close to original condition. The pump-action has vertical ribbing around the hull, while the smooth stock has a nice semi-curved pistol grip that leads to the straight butt. The serial number indicates that this gun was manufactured between 1939 and 1940. This firearm features a side-ejection port. The hammerless architecture gives it a very sleep, low-profile receiver. Thus, the barrel appears to slot into the receiver, but then the receiver and stock meld together to almost create a single unified piece of work. .22 Long Rifle
