Description:
The US Rifle 1898 of the Krag-Jorgensen design is the rifle that ushered the US Military into the Smokeless Powder Era. First adopted in 1892, the Krag, with minor design changes, remained in service until it was replaced in 1903. However, some rifles remained in service with support troops all the way into WWI. This example has borne up very well to the rigors of age and time. It would be equally at home on a wall or at the range. .30-40 Krag
