Description:
This Colt Police Positive, 1st Issue is all original, and all serial numbers match.  The finish is in excellent condition.  The revolver is chambered in .32 New Police.  This revolver will accept both .32 short and long cartridges.  According to Colt Manufacturing Co., LLC it was manufactured in 1914.  This Colt Police Positive is a lightweight revolver with a 4” barrel.  The lightweight 4” barrel and smaller grips make this a desirable handgun for personal protection and concealment.  The revolver sights consist of a half-moon blade front sight with a fixed open rear sight, a simple notched U-shaped groove milled into the revolver’s top strap.  This revolver has a very tight lock up on the cylinder, hammer, and trigger.  The cylinder cycles properly, and the timing is perfect.  There is no play in the cylinder.  Mechanically this revolver is in excellent condition.  The cylinder latch has diamond serrations on it for a firm thumb grip.  The hammer and ejection rod are case-hardened steel.   The Colt checkered hard rubber grips are in excellent condition.  The Colt C is prominently displayed in the center of the grips.  The checkering is strong and prominent, and the grips are quite beautiful.  There are no cracks in the grips.  There is a very small nick on the top rear edge of the left grip, which is smaller than the point of a fine-tip pen.  There are a few very light scratches on the grips.  You must examine the revolver very closely to notice these light scratches.  The Rampant Colt with the broken lance is clearly visible on the left side of the frame.  The rifling on the inside of the barrel is in excellent condition.  The barrel is clear and shiny, and the lands and grooves are prominent. The barrel has a very deep blue finish. The hammer has a serrated thumb grip and a firm pull when cocked.  There are a few light spots on the left side of the hammer.  There is some minor loss of finish and very light scratches on this revolver.  This is a used revolver that was made in 1914, and it is in remarkably excellent condition.  This Police Positive .32, 1st Issue with a 4” barrel, is a fine collectible.  I periodically clean and oil this revolver.  The photos prove the fine quality and excellent condition of this Colt Police Positive .32 revolver!
