Description:
Introduced by Roy Weatherby in 1958, the Mark V action was engineered to be the strongest bolt action in the world. Roy wanted to develop a high-quality, accurate, and powerful rifle for hunting that could handle the high chamber pressures associated with newer big and dangerous game cartridges. The locking lugs on the Mark V action differ from traditional designs as they are separated and stacked, creating more surface area and a positive lock up over conventional solid lug designs at the time. The result is a maximum lug contact and still one of the strongest actions on the market. This pre-owned big game hunting rifle is chambered in .375 H&H Magnum and includes the mounted Trijicon AccuPoint 3-9x40 scope with a red illuminated triangle reticle at the tip, and an African big game safari leather sling. The rifle overall is in very good condition for its age, and shows signs of normal use with bluing wear on the barrel and a few dings in the walnut stock. .375 H&H Magnum
