Winchester model 1885 Limited Series BPCR Target "High Wall" single-shot rifle chambered in .45-70 Government. Designed in 1878 by John Browning, Winchester took up production in 1885 to compete in the growing sport of long-range competition shooting that originated in Creedmoor, New York. This reproduction produced by Miroku is designed to meet the requirements for Black Powder Cartridge Rifle (BPCR) competition and features a color casehardened receiver, half-octagonal heavy barrel and tang-mounted Creedmoor sight with hooded ghost ring front. Comes in its factory box with original documentation. .45-70 Government
