Description:
The Ballester-Molina was an attempt to market a less expensive alternative to the Colt Model 1927, which was an Argentine-made licensed copy of the Colt Model 1911. During the first three years of production, the pistol was marked "Ballester-Rigaud", and later marked "Ballester-Molina". Although the Ballester-Molina .45 ACP is virtually the same size and shape as the Colt Model 1911, only the barrel is interchangable. It does not have a grip safety, has different sear mechanism, and distinctive pattern retracting grooves in slide, issued to the Argentine Military and Police (marked on slide), also sold commercially in Latin America, ser. no. stamped on hilt next to magazine floorplate, some also marked with property numbers. Approx. 90,000-110,000 mfg. 1937-1953. Pistols marked "Ejercito" are Army issue.

This Ejercito Argentino Ballester Molina SN#21476, is in very good condition for its age, Barrel Serial Number to gun Serial Number,   it also has all original parts.
