Description:
30 inch round barrel chambered in 40-65 Ballard Everlasting with Rigby flats. Barrle is 25-35% blue turning a clean plum color. Very bright shiny excellent bore. Sights include a target globe front and mid-range Vernier tang. The receiver is a nickel color and quite attractive with good traces of case color showing. Engraving consists of a Buck deer on one side and Grizzly on the other side. Light scrollwork along the Rigby flats, the top flat with “Ballard” in riband intertwined around an arrow. No doubt done by one of the Ulrich's.Wood is nicely checkered. Shows some wear but still in very good condition with a Swiss style buttplate and cheekpiece. Horn forend tip. A very nice Marlin Ballard off hand target rifle.
