Description:
For sale is a used Smith Competition Shooting Rest in very good condition. This rest was built in a high-end prototype shop in California, there were only 10 of these ever made! This rest has only been used in our indoor 10 meter air rifle range. There are some small dings and stains on the windage plates, and some handling scratches on the base (see photos). The rest weights about 25 lbs. It is in perfect working order. This is a very high quality tool.
The base is constructed of 1-1/4” aluminum, and has steel threaded inserts for the jackscrews. The Jackscrews offer just over 1” of total adjustment and have beautifully knurled knobs and locking nuts.
The windage is ran by a hand fitted fine thread and has absolutely no backlash. It has 1-1/2” of total travel at the rest. The Knobs are knurled and easy to use in the shooting position.
A 3/8” flat belt, controlled by a knurled knob near the rear jackscrew, drives the elevation. The 1-3/8” elevation shaft is hand fitted to the base and offers 1-1/4” of elevation. The top assembly rides on two bearing and rotates 360 degrees very smoothly.
The rest comes with a filled Protektor bag for a 2-1/4” forend, and a set of 3” Benchrite feet.
