Early Colt model 1848 Baby Dragoon, .31 caliber, 5 shot, manufactured 1848 with desirable 5 inch barrel. Serial #5773 matching, wedge #528. .40% tarnished silver on brass. The grips show .60% original varnish. The cylinder shows .60% scene with moderate bumps, dings and use marks to metal surfaces. With scattered fine pinpricks on metal surfaces, underside at muzzle moderate pitting. Tight mechanics. Rifled bore with fine surface residue the length of the bore. Very good overall.
