Description:
For your consideration, a Smith & Wesson D.A. 45 chambered in .45 ACP. This piece is an example of the Brazilian Modelo 1937 revolver complete with Brazilian crest on sideplate. The Modelo 1937 contracts were fulfilled by S&W from refurbished M1917s and new production commercial components. Characteristically, these guns generally lack matching numbers on serialized components, and this example is no exception. The original grips have been replaced with a set of post-war magna type service grips, and there are no visible import markings. This piece is built on a 5 screw frame. .45 ACP
