Serial No. 2152, made in 1905, .455 cordite, 6"" P Webley & Son. London. & Birmingham marked barrel. Revolver comes in a beautiful mahogany case with period correct turnscrew, cleaning rod, oil bottle and lanyard. Case has original leather label from retailer in great condition. Approximately 98% blue remains, back strap is inscribed with ""T.B.M."", it is noted that the top of the case is also marked with ""T.B. Minniken 76th Punjabis"". He would be with the Indian Army through the early years and during WWI where he would be placed 2nd in command of the Malay State Guard. He would be given the rank of temporary Major on August 2nd 1917. Major Minniken would be mentioned in dispatches (MID) for his fighting through the Middle East during the war. Would be hard to improve on this piece!
