S O L D .............SHOOTABLE BORE!...Starr Arms Co. .54 caliber breech load percussion saddle ring carbine....LAYAWAY? Walnut stock and fore-end with brass butt plate. 21" barrel length, 37-1/2" overall.
SN 11735...Typical used condition. with shootable (SHINEY) bore!....Good . Bore is mostly bright, . Percussion nipple has broken off, most likely from tampering. "NO HALF COCK" with action. Finish has thinned losses to mid-barrel area along with moderate clusters of light pitting and oxidation. Frame is mostly bare of case hardened finish and brass stock fixtures have a darkened mottled appearance. Stock possibly sanded at some point, with two repaired small hairline cracks around upper tang. Does NOT go deep.There are light scratches and mars overall.
Very good to fine bore. Bore is somewhat bright, with some pitting to rifling and frosty residue toward muzzle. Percussion nipple has broken off, most likely from tampering. Finish has thinned losses to mid-barrel area along with moderate to heavy clusters of pitting and oxidation. Frame is mostly bare of case hardened finish and brass stock fixtures have a darkened mottled appearance. Stock possibly sanded at some point, with two cracks around upper tang. There are light scratches and mars overall. Also, it mas been "decorated" with numerous small stars throughout the metal.
