"Maynard 1st Model carbine. Made in late 1850s. Has a 20" .35 caliber barrel. Metal has a smooth grayish/brown patina. Action works perfectly. Nipple is missing. Stock has been refinished. These 1st Model Maynard were used by the Confederacy. These guns were used heavily, and this 1st Model is a nice example for one of these.
