52 caliber. Original sights on the 22 inch barrel that features a sharp bore. This Sharps has had a non professional refinish that looks good. Overall metal is an aged brown color. Good markings. Fine mechanics. Wood has been replaced and looks great. Some replaced screws. A pretty good looking example of a Sharps 1863 carbine. Complete with a factory letter.
