A RARE .45 COLT SHERIFF'S MODEL SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER, NO. 77252 built and delivered to NYC in 1882.
Sighted barrel marked with two-line Colt address, early-type "black-powder" frame with cylinder pin retaining screw, Checkered wood grips with rampant colt medallions
3½ inch barrel, this gun come with a factory letter showing Blue as the applied finish, Early ampersand stamp shows gun was returned to colt. Colt applied Nickle and Rampant Colt roll stamp and 3 line address at refinish, Original cylinder serial present with load gate and frame showing inspectors matching stamps. Colt is tight and in great serviceable condition. Gorgeous gun with letter.
Colt Factory letter confirms configuration and notes that this revolver was shipped to Dunlay & Geisler, Houston, Texas, October 2, 1891.
