EXTREMELY RARE COBRA, .38 SPECIAL WITH 3 INCH BARREL, #141XXX LW, MADE 1964. The Cobra was Colt's "airweight" alloy framed Detective Special. Nearly the entire production was made in .38 Special with 2" barrel. A few were made in .22 LR with 3" barrels or .32 caliber, but all of these are scarce. This example appears unfired as it has all the blue on the front of the cylinder and aside from a tiny smudge on the bottom of the trigger guard, is in mint, new condition- not even a hint of a cylinder drag line. One of the more unusual and rarely seen of Colt's "Snake Guns" and this one is in superb condition inside and out.
