CHRISTENSEN ARMS 300 RUM rifle with NIGHTFORCE ATACR 5x25x56 34mm F1 MOAR rifle scope. Scope mounted with Custom precicison NEAR manufacuturing Alpha mounts and rail and stock includes a Bradley adjustable cheek rest. 5 Boxes of Nosler Trophy Grade Long Range Accubond bullets in 180 and 210 grain.
This is a very accurate (SUB MOA guarantee) and easy to shoot rifle, with the Christensen Arms recoil pad and muzzle break, kicks like a .243. I was turned on to this rifle by my Father in Law after he bought one and we shot it at his ranch and was hitting tight groups with ease at 600 yards.
I've tested the SUB MOA guarantee myself, with under 1" groups at 100 and 200 yards. Rifle has been sighted in to 1000 yards using the Barnes ballistics calculator and chart, (and confirmed by shooting) and I can consistently hit that 1000 yard target with 6" groups. I've printed the MOA's required from 100 to 1000 yards and taped it to the stock for easy and quick dial in while in the field. 1900 FPS and 1800 Ft-lbs of hitting power at 800 yards with 210 grain bullets so can easily take down an ELK at 1000 yards plus. Carbon fiber stock with hand lapped, stainless steel free floated carbon wrapped barrell with match chamber. 6.3 lbs.
Nightforce scope has ED glass with 20 MOA of adjustment on the illuminated reticle, or can dial to 120 MOA and comes with flip covers. Has windage and paralax adjustment. Very clear view out past 1000 yards. For fun we set up a target at a mile (1750 yards) and was able to hit it after 5 close shots. I tested the tracking of this scope when mounting it and it was perfect.
NEAR alpha mounts and rail are custom/precision made top of the line mounts. The front is a double mount that allows the scope to be as close as possible to the barrell.
Bradley adjustable cheek rest on the stock, with perfect line of sight through the scope.
5 Boxes of Nosler Trophy Grade long range accubonds. When I sighted this rifle in I tried Barnes, Hornady, Norma's and Nosler. Nosler shot the best for me, but all shot well.
I've only taken this rifle hunting twice. Shot one Elk last fall with it with one shot. I only did a little break in with the different bullets and then cleaned the rifle well after and then sighted it in once I picked a bullet using a ballistics chart to print off the distances and MOA needed for those distances out to a thousand yards and then taped it to the stock for easy and quick adjustment when in the field. I then tested it and it was right on. So not a lot of use or bullets put through it.
