Description:
The item for sale is an antique Colt Single Action black powder 45 Colt caliber with a 7 1/2" barrel shipped in 1895. A list of persons known to have used and endorsed the Single Action Army reads like a "who's who" of the.Wild West. This Colt certainly looks a part of that Wild West. The revolver is a 7 1/2", 45 Colt, blued finished fitted with ivory grips.
The revolver features the standard one line barrel address, two line patent date markings on the left side of the frame and the caliber marking on the left side of the barrel.
Mechanically the action works as Colt intended. It has the Colt "4-clicks" and very minimal cylinder play. The bore is good with minor black powder pits. This is a numbers matching revolver as shown in the photos.
A copy of the Colt Factory Letter is provided.
