SN: 2388. Made around 1930, 410ga with 26.5"" barrels. Top quality boxlock ejector gun made by Samuel A. Leonard. Leonard was part of a noted British gunmaking family and was working for Purdey before coming to the U.S. in 1928. He teamed up with George Hyde of Griffin & Howe and they made guns for themselves and for the trade for several years. The gun has a delicately engraved case colored receiver, double triggers and a finely checkered straight stock with 15.25"" LOP. Condition is excellent. A rare and unusual piece for the collector of pre-war double shotguns.(CONSIGNMENT)
