Description:
WORLD WAR II German OCCUPATION CZECH Semi-Automatic CZ Model 27 Pistol C&R

THIRD REICH Occupied Czechoslovakia w/1941 HOLSTER

Here we present a C&R Third Reich German CZ 27 Pistol, made circa 1943 in Czechoslovakia. The Model 27 was adopted by the Third Reich upon their seizure of ?eská zbrojovka after their invasion and occupation in 1939. Many of these semi-automatic, .32 ACP blowback pistols were manufactured until the end of the war, becoming somewhat less finished toward the end in an attempt to save on cost, time and resources. The machining marks grew more visible and the blue applied to the earlier guns was changed to a phosphate finish. Many of these were put in the hands of officers and police during World War II.
In an effort to hide the location of factories producing weapons, in June 1941, the Germans introduced a letter code system to replace factory names. The ?eská zbrojovka [CZ] factory received the code letters “fnh”. In the case of the CZ 27, it was not used until mid-1943. The “fnh” was added to the left slide marking and the “BÖHMISCHE WAFFENFABRIK A.G. IN PRAG” marking was removed from the slide top. Early “fnh” marked pistols, as is this example, still had the CZ logo on the grips, which was soon removed.

This specimen is marked “fnh Pistole Modell 27/Kal.7,65” on the left side. The right side of the frame is marked “Eagle/WaA76”. The leather holster is dated 1941 with “CZ” and “Eagle/Swastika over WaA76”.

The overall condition is fine. Original finish. The action is excellent. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. The grips are solid and in good condition. The holster is in very good condition with clear markings.
