SUPERIOR CIVIL WAR ERA COLT HARTFORD-LONDON MODEL 1851 NAVY REVOLVER. 7 ½” octagon .36 cal. six shot revolver made circa 1855 at the Hartford factory for sale in England just prior to Colt closing his London factory. Distinctive 4th Model Hartford and London feature with silver plated iron back strap and trigger guard. Excellent plus condition with 90% blue on barrel, greying mottled grey/blue case hardening and 90% plus silver on trigger guard. Grips with nearly all the finish. Even the screws have most of the blue. Excellent cylinder scene. All matching in the 37xxx range and 100% original in every respect. Perfect working order and excellent bore and chambers. Less than 2000 made circa 1855-56.
