CIVIL WAR SAVAGE REPEATING ARMS CO. PERCUSSION NAVY REVOLVER CIRCA 1861. 7 1/4” octagon barrel six shot .36 cal. revolver with Savage address and patent dates on top strap. . Distinctive cocking lever and trigger mechanism. Nearly all purchased by Federal Ordnance or State Volunteer units during the Civil War. Early 9xx serial range produced circa late 1861. Excellent all matching example with perfect markings and considerable blue/patina evenly mixed. Grips with nearly all the original finish. Working order and excellent bore and chambers. Exceptionally nice looking example.
