Description:
Mannlicher Stocked Mauser Action custom 30-06 rifle. Mauser action, drilled and tapped for bases with a low-swing saftey, single trigger, tapered 18 1/2" barrel with a nice bore and royal blue finish. Black walnut one piece sotck with steel pistol grip and nose cap. The fore-stock and pistol grip have wrap around, borderless, fine line checkering and a cheek piece. Skeleton butt plate with exposed, checkered, wood (see photos). The stock is unblemished with the exception of a small light scratch (see photo), I have not tried, but it appears this blemish could be rubbed out. The German Scope has clear optics with traditional crosshairs and is mounted with Leupold bases and rings (see photos). Adjustable rear buckhorn and hooded blade front sight. At the sale they said this was a post war European custom using a WWII German Mauser G33/40 receiver and chamber for the 8mm Mauser cartridge. The rifle is not maker marked; however, it obviously the product of a master craftsman. Therefore, I am offering this rifle with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
