Description:
This Winchester Model 1894 AE, .30-30 caliber, lever-action carbine has a 20-inch round barrel, deluxe walnut stock and forearm, full magazine tube, drift adjustable ramped front sight, windage and elevation adjustable rear sight, and a straight butt plate.  Its overall length of the rifle is 38 inches.  Its unloaded weight is 6 pounds, 7.7 ounces.  Its length of pull of this rifle is 13½ inches.  Its year of manufacture is 1987.  There are no box, papers, or accessories.

The overall condition of this gun is 99+ percent.  The gun looks like it spent most of its 36 years in a closet.  The current owner says he is the second owner and that he purchased the gun in 2006 and never fired it.  Though I cannot guarantee it, I do not think the gun has had more than a few rounds fired through it, if any.  The finish on the metal and wood are very excellent.  The barrel and magazine tube are like new - 99+ percent.  There is a small ding about half the size of a BB on the left side of the magazine tube, about six inches from the muzzle; other than that, there are no scratches, mars, blemishes, or other signs of wear on the barrel and magazine tube.  The receiver is 99 percent.  In the right light and angle, you can make out a very faint light scratch 1½-inch scratch on the left side of the receiver.  Also, the slot of the lever screw has been slightly dinged.  At 100 percent, the wood stock and forearm are also in very excellent condition; the checkering on the stock and forearm are deep and crisp with no sign of wear.  The butt plate is in perfect condition.  All this is visible in the photos, except the light scratch on the left side of the receiver; it is very hard to see.

The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details.  Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better.

The buyer pays $50 for USPS Priority mail and $18.10 for insurance.  Virginia buyers must pay 5.3% sales tax.

The fastest way to get this gun is to pay with USPS (U.S. Postal Service) money orders, as they are like cash.  I will ship the revolver immediately upon receipt of a USPS money order and an FFL.  I will also accept a personal check or other type money, as well as bank checks and cashier's checks, but I will hold the gun until it clears my bank; this includes bank checks and cashier’s checks.  I do not accept credit cards, debit cards, or PayPal.

Check or money order must be made out to Jerry Pownall or Barboursville Arms.
