Serial #315 and made in 1888 this Martini-Henry Common Long Bayonet sometimes referred to the pattern 1876 is in excellent condition with only slight surface oxidation and spotting on the 22" blade with most, 80-85% of the original bluing on the socket. Sharp English war department stamp, WD, the year and others are found on the blade and the socket. This bayonet comes complete with a fine example of the Mark 1 three rivet scabbard with nearly all of the metals original finish and sharp WD Crown/E 23. The leather is in excellent condition with only one area of wear hidden and caused by the frog. The heavy frog is in excellent condition with tight stitching, a bit on the stiff side leather. It is also WD marked over a 5. Fine example of the Martini-Henry Long Common.
