Price ruduction! Beautiful early HRA M1 Garand with CMP Provanance. This rifle was in the small serial number range of HRA's that were manufactured using SA op rods and hammers. There was an article in the GCA magazine several years ago the had various reasons for these two parts, however, nobody has positive evidence of the reason this happened. The most accepted conclusion is that HRA in the 4th month of production simply ran out of these two parts which were readily available from Springfield. At any rate this batch of rifles were sold by the CMP as Service Grade rather than Collector/ Correct Grade. The Me is 1 and the TE is 2+ so it wasn't fired much. The wood and metal finish are both excellent with clear marking and cartouches. I will take $1775 for this rifle dilvered in a CMP hard case to your C&R/FFL. This is a rare HRA akin to a collector/correct grade rifle.
