CIVIL WAR N. STARR U.S. MODEL 1816 TYPE III PERCUSSION CONVERSION MUSKET. 42” smoothbore .69 cal. barrel with two leaf rifle-musket rear conversion era sight and correct blade on band front. Excellent and all original. Excellent markings with lock stamped “MIDDtn/CONN/1832/STARR” behind hammer and “US/STARBURST/N.STARR” forward of it. Crisp metal with medium grey patina and excellent stock with visible Ordnance cartouche on the side panel. Excellent plus bright bore and perfect working order.
