CONTEMPORARY PENNSYLVANIA FLINTLOCK LONG RIFLE WITH M.M. MASLAM / WARRENTED LOCK CA. 1970’S-80’S. 64” o/a with 49” octagon rifled sighted .45 cal. barrel. Extra long very graceful looking rifle in the Lancaster style. Lock stamped “MM/ MASLAM / WARRANTED”. Maker unknown and lock of unknown origin with no Birmingham lock maker of that name. Barrel unsigned. Aged hand made contemporary parts with old recycled original patchbox and trigger guard. Double set triggers and German silver forend inlays. German silver “Star” inlay on cheek rest. Tiger maple stock. Nice defarb and aging of metal and wood skillfully done to look old. Looks very near original antique. Bore excellent to near mint. Lock needs sear work as do the triggers. Nice looking.
