Description:
The Remington Model 788 chambered in .30-30 Winchester was only made from 1967 to 1970 which, make this a fairly rare version. The 788s made between 1967 and pre-1975 had the locking bolt feature which required the safety to be in the off position in order to rotate and actuate the bolt. Rifles manufactured after 1975 have the non-locking bolts which allow the bolt to be actuated with the safety engaged. This rifle was made in the first year of production 1967 and is in very good shape .30-30 Winchester
