Ken Hurst Engraved Parker Reproduction A-1 Custom Shop Special three barrel set - 20 ga / 20 ga / 16 ga. Gun appears unfired. Engraving of the highest level with game birds, a hunting dog and scroll work. Deep and vibrant case colors (I believe Turnbull did the case hardening). Well figured walnut stock and forend with extremely fine checkering. One forend fits all three barrel sets. Engraved skeleton butt plate. Oak and leather case with cleaning accessories, cleaning rod, snaps for each barrel set, oil and spare parts bottles and walnut handle turn screws. A leather label inside the case reads - A-1 Special Custom Shop, Middlesex, NJ. Single selective trigger. Gold plated trigger blade and barrel selector. Auto safety. This was an original three barrel set with all barrel sets serialized to the gun. "0" frame gun. The barrel sets have the following specifications.
1. 20 gauge - 28" with Mod (18/1000) and Full (40/1000) chokes. Chambers are 2 3/4" and 3" marked. Top rib is engraved - Parker Reproduction by Winchester
2. 20 gauge - 26" with Skeet (4/1000) and IC (8/1000) chokes. Chambers are 2 3/4" marked. Top rib is engraved - Parker Reproduction by Winchester.
3. 16 gauge - 28" with Mod and Full chokes (marked). Chambers are 2 3/4". The 16 gauge barrels were made by Krieghoff in Germany.
The gun was photographed with the 16 gauge barrels. The photos of the gun with the 20 gauge barrels have a green tag in the background.
Stock LOP is 14 1/4". Drop at comb is 1 1/4". Drop at heel - 2". As the trigger blade is in a rear position in the trigger guard the LOP will feel more like a 14 1/2" or greater.
