Description:
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. The gun appears to only have been test fired. There is no  pitting. In our opinion, this bore is a 10 out of 10. This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is a faint dragline. There are a few tiny nicks on the barrel lug. The cylinder has a light turn-line, the hammer and trigger have light operational wear and there are scattered light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine Plus condition.

The action functions correctly. The double action trigger is smooth and the single action is crisp. The cylinder lockup has no play on all chambers. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

For decades, .22 WMR was the king of the rimfire cartridges but in 2002, Hornady introduced their new .17 HMR at SHOT Show. The new cartridge was a .22 Magnum case necked down to .17 caliber, providing even greater velocities for a flat-shooting varmint round. At the time of introduction, only two rifles were chambered for the new round, but by the 2003 SHOT Show, more than 18 companies had rifles and handguns chambered for the new cartridge, and Remington, Hornady, Federal, and CCI were making ammunition. Smith & Wesson introduced the Model 647 at the 2003 SHOT Show but production was limited with production ceasing in late 2004. With its 8 3/8" barrel, the 647 is able to wring just about all the performance you can get out the cartridge in a handgun and makes it great for pest elimination at longer ranges,This example is in Fine Plus condition with light wear and will be a nice addition to your collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
