Serial #S19257, .22 Cal Blank, 2 ½ inch plugged barrel. This is the model 56A Starter pistol manufactured by Iver Johnson. The 8 shot, blank firing, solid frame, D/S action revolver is in excellent plus condition retaining virtually all, 97-99% of the original matte finish on the frame with beautiful case color on the hammer showing some freckling on the trigger and guard. The synthetic grips are likewise excellent showing only minor handling marks. It comes in the original cardboard box numbered to the gun. The top strap is marked “I.J. A.&C. WKS. / FITCHBURG. MASS USA". An excellent, like new starter pistol in the original box that will add to any Iver Johnson collection and is also perfect for training sporting dogs. Antique
