Mauser 6.5 x 55 Custom 98 Mauser that has Excellent Metal Work with some by Tom Burgess, 22" Krieger Barrel with a 1 in 8" Twist Installed by Roger Ferrell from Fayetteville, Georgia, Mr. Ferrrell is a top notch custom gun maker that stands with the best, Timeny trigger, 2 position wing safety, I am uncertain how much metal work was done by Tom Burgess but I can assure you he did the bolt handle, Excellent bottom metal with a straddle hinged floorplate with a center bow release, Warne scope bases with 30mm Warne rings, A nice custom stock by an unknown stocker using a decent of wood, A Classic stock with a nice shadowline cheekpiece, Jerry Fisher steel grip cap, Ebony forend tip, Wrap around checkering with a Fleur-De-Lis pattern that is very well done, Custom sling eyes, 13 3/4" lop over a Niedner checkered steel buttplate, 7 lbs. 15 oz., The bore is new, The overall condition on both metal and wood is 99% plus since built as a custom. The gun has no appearance it ever left the house. I can assure you this was not the stocker's first attempt at custom stocking a bolt rifle. It has nice workmanship along with the classic lines of what an American classic styled bolt rifle is all about. The internal inletting is well done with the barrel channel, recoil lug and rear guard screw all glass bedded. The piece has very nice checkering and very nice attention to detail.
