This United States Rifle, Caliber .30-06, Model 1903, is an american made five-round magazine fed, bolt-action service repeating rifle,
Remington Model 1903 SN 3273458. The year of manufacture for serial number 3273458 is October, 1942. The receiver has an additional gas port ("Hatcher Hole" - dubbed after army ordnance officer MG Julian Hatcher, the US Marines decided this procedure was to be done on all their 1903 rifles on the left side of the receiver).
Barrel is dated 10-42 with RA over a Flaming Bomb near the front sight. Original parkerized finish. R stamped on front barrel band. One punch mark near R on bolt indicates possible US Marine Corps issue.
Cleaning kit in recess of stock.
Bore is bright with good riflings and some duskiness and slight corrosion near the muzzle. Rifle stock in great shape with no cracks. Stock and metal appearance is Honor Guard quality.
Fully functional and shootable. Is accurate. Under 0.1 barrel muzzle wear. Inspected by certified professional Quality Engineer.
