Description:
Second Model Takedown frame with a 24 inch octagon barrel chambered in 22 Short caliber with a dark bore. Would benefit from a good thorough cleaning. Sights include a Lyman front and typical rear. Barrel is a plum/brown patina with some strong blue between the barrel and magazine. Color case hardened frame has just a few hints of color with balance a gray color. Missing a screw in the bottom tang and a wrong upper tang screw. Traces of color on the hammer. Good blue on the bolt. Nice functioning action. Walnut stocks are in decent shape with someones initials (RW) carved in the wrist on the left side. Crescent butt is a brown/gray. This slide action plinker was made in 1894.
